Eligibility: -The candidate should have background, knowledge, and interests in relevant subject relating to; microbiology/molecular biology, thermo kinetics and process modelling.
- Experience in microbial inactivation in relation to physical phenomena (temperature and pressure) is desirable, in addition to competence in statistical tools.
-Applicants must have earned a Master Degree, at a level equivalent to a 5-year Norwegian Master Degree with research thesis, or possess corresponding qualifications which could provide a basis for successfully completing a doctorate.
-It is necessary to have obtained an average grade of B or better in order to qualify.
-It is a precondition that the research fellow is accepted into the doctoral program at a Norwegian University within three months after employment.

Scholarship Description: The candidate will be part of a project investigating the effects of novel food processing technologies on pathogenic and non-pathogenic bacteria in food. More specific; stress and inactivation will be studied.Thus, the candidate will have the opportunity to study the technologies of tomorrow and by microbial investigations, gathering kinetic data which may be used for modelling.
