Eligibility:
Applicants should hold (or expect to obtain) a minimum upper-second honours degree (or equivalent) in one of the biological sciences. Previous experience in cell culture or bioinformatics would be advantageous.

Scholarship Open for International Students: No

Scholarship Description: The objective of this Kids Kidney Research funded 3-year PhD is to investigate the basic mechanisms underlying chronic kidney disease with the aim of identifying new therapeutic approaches. The studentship provides full support for tuition fees and an annual tax-free stipend of £13, 590. The project is due to commence October 2011 (although this is flexible) and is open to UK/EU nationals only due to the nature of the funding.
