Eligibility:
- The candidate should have a recent doctorate in a subject related to plant biology, plant physiology, or plant ecology and should demonstrate cross-disciplinary understanding of processes that scale from the molecular to ecological level.
- A good grasp of statistical methods and instrumentation would be a plus.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.

Scholarship Description: The department of Biosciences of the University of Helsinki is located in Viikki. The division of Plant Biology encompasses research spanning from molecular biology to field ecology, and systematics. The Aphalo group (SenPEP) has research interests in plant sensory ecology and photobiology. We do research that looks into the physiological mechanisms used by plants to acclimate and adapt to the challenges imposed by their natural environment. The Department of Biosciences, Aphalo group, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher.
