Eligibility:
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria in order to be eligible:
- To have foreign (non-Italian) citizenship;
- To have foreign (non-Italian) residence.
- Candidates must be in possession of this requirement within the deadline date.
- To have a foreign (non-Italian) academic qualification acknowledged as equivalent to the Diploma di Laurea/ Laurea Specialistica/Magistrale (at least four years of full time university education). The acknowledgement of the equivalence of the academic degree will be done by the relevant body of the Doctoral School/International Course, for the sole purpose of this competition.

Scholarship Description: For the academic year 2011/2012 the Università degli Studi di Padova, Italy, offers 15 research fellowships for foreign students to attend Doctoral Schools/International Courses. During the 3-year doctoral programme (2012-2014), the successful candidates will be offered full board and lodging at the ESU – Azienda Regionale per il Diritto allo Studio Universitario. The connected charges will be covered by Università degli Studi di Padova through Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo

Master Student Grants for Germans at University of Salahaddin in Erbil

Eligibility:Applicants ordinarily have a Bachelor in economics and must be ready to attend seminars and colloquia at the Iraqi host university.
-They will be in residence in the area of the host university during the period of the scholarship, which normally runs from September 1st to February 27 or from March 1st to August 31st each year.

Scholarship Description:The China Fund announces the availability of fellowship funds to support research-related activities for Stanford advanced-level graduate students specializing in Chinese Studies.The program is intended to fill in the gaps between the availability of university and external funding for graduate work. As a result, awards will be made on a competitive basis to students who are conducting dissertation research, or writing up the results of dissertation research.General Requirements and Overview:

Stanford University graduate student in advanced standing. Advanced standing assumes that residency requirements have been met (must be registered in TGR status at the time of award disbursal).Applicants are required to have completed course work before the period covered by the grant, and should be prepared to undertake full-time research and write-up of the dissertation topic.Applicants formal dissertation proposal approval is not necessary at time of application, but must be approved before the starting date of the fellowshipFellowships will cover tuition (TGR), travel to, from and within China, and reasonable living expenses. No funds will be available to cover travel or maintenance costs of dependents.
