Eligibility:
You can apply for a National Scholarship if your declared household (resident) income is £25,000 or less, and you qualify for full government maintenance support (as assessed by the Student Loans Company)
-To be considered for a National Scholarship award, students must be:
-new first degree entrants in the academic year 2012-13, and; subject to the new fee rules, and;
-must have firmly accepted a place at the University College, and;
-must have submitted an application for a National Scholarship award by 30 May 2012.

Scholarship Description: The National Scholarship Programme (NSP) is a government supported scheme designed to ensure that talented students from low income households are able to attend university. For 2012/13 the University College has 50 scholarships available worth £3,000 each, which will be awarded to eligible new entrants. The Scholarship is worth £3,000 and is paid as a combination of: a £2,000 fee waiver, deducted from your first year fee at the start of your course a £1,000 payment towards accommodation and maintenance costs, paid directly to you on 1 February 2013
